The Chinese grandmaster defeated Richard Rapport with Black in a King's Indian and is now one point ahead of Etienne Bacrot, who again escaped with a draw, this time against his compatriot Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. Ian Nepomniachtchi won his first game today against Alexander Moiseenko, who slipped in a rook ending.
