He was leading for a number of rounds, but now he's collapsing: Sergey Karjakin. The Russian grandmaster lost his third game in a row in Beijing on Friday, to Veselin Topalov, and dropped back to shared fifth place. Alexander Grischuk, who drew with Anish Giri, and Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, who drew with Wang Yue, maintained their shared lead at the FIDE Grand Prix. In round 8 Boris Gelfand defeated Vassily Ivanchuk.
